THE SOLUTION

LifeBonder's mission is to create a social media platform that lives up to the promise of what social media can be: A tool to facilitate human connections rather than replacing them. Lifebonder strives to make the world a better place by filling a growing need for direct socializing outside social media - connecting people in friendships that are human, profound, and meaningful.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Lifebonder strives to build a social network focused on building in-person social bonds – or Life Bonds - in close one-on-one connections or as part of a wider LifeBonder community of user-initiated groups. The project aims to initiate a social media revolution to bring user needs in the center - and keep advertiser needs at the periphery where they belong.

Millennials are the first generation to have grown up with social media, and we now know that social media addiction leads to lower quality of life and loneliness. The problem is that social media is primarily built around the needs of advertisers and not that of users. Lifebonder aims to change the business model of current social media growth engines which is designed around addiction as a profit-maximizing mechanism into a tool with the user as the epicenter.

My Part

Since I joined the Lifebonder team I am working as a UX/UI designer in a team of 7 designers.

I design and create mock-ups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for Lifebonder's web platform and mobile application on Adobe XD.

Among my responsibilities are also the development of user flows and the user journey. Furthermore, I conduct usability tests to ensure optimum user experience. Giving and receiving feedback is one of our valuable everyday activities in Lifebonder that helps us progress fast and efficiently and ensures that the overall experience benefits the users.
